Frequently asked questions.
What is your editing/creative style?
Think of it like an indie film — slow, intentional, and focused on capturing the true emotion and moments of the day.
My goal is to create a film that lets you relive your wedding exactly as it felt, with all the real, unscripted candid beauty intact.
How long after the wedding will we receive our finished video?
Typically 6- 8 weeks for the Full film
The 1 minute teaser trailer will be delivered within 10 days of your wedding.
Can we choose the music for our wedding film?
Short answer: I can't legally use popular songs in wedding films without a special license.
But don't worry — I subscribe to a few great music licensing services that offer a huge variety of songs we can use safely.
During our planning call, I’ll ask you about the kind of music, movies, or artists you love, and I’ll find something that matches the vibe of your day. That way your film still feels personal and true to you, without the stress (or crazy costs) of licensing a big-name track.
Long answer:
It is possible to license major songs — but depending on the artist, it can get very expensive.
If there's a specific song you really have your heart set on, we can absolutely look into licensing it together. I just want you to have all the options and know what’s possible based on your budget.
Do you work alone or with a second videographer?
Most of the time, it’s just me filming — and that's usually all that's needed to capture the day beautifully.
But if your wedding is larger, has a lot happening at once, or if you want extra coverage (like capturing two locations at the same time), a second videographer is always an option.
We’ll talk about it during our planning so you can feel confident that everything important will be covered.
Do you capture audio for ceremony/vows, speeches, and toasts?
Yes! This can be done a couple ways and I do both depending on the situation. I establish communication with the DJ or venue to ensure they have the ability for me to plug my recorder in that feeds directly from the sound system. For the ceremony I can do the same and I typically also recommend we get a little personal wireless mic on the groom or officiant that connects to my camera, this does not interfere with any other wireless audio!
Will you be directing us throughout the day or capturing moments naturally?
Most of the time, I keep things very candid and let the day unfold naturally.
During portrait sessions with your photographer, though, I might suggest a few simple actions to capture some beautiful, natural-looking shots on video — nothing overly posed, just little moments to help the story come to life.
What happens if there’s bad weather?
I'm fully prepared for unexpected weather!
I use weather-sealed gear, and I always make sure to keep my lenses clean and protected throughout the day. If we need to move indoors to a dimly lit space, my camera performs really well in low light, so I can still capture everything beautifully without it feeling dark or grainy.
Whatever the day brings, I’m ready to adapt and make sure your film reflects the real magic of it.
How much coverage time is included in your packages?
A Full day is 8-10 hours
A half day is 4-5 hours
If it is multiday it is an Add-On that you can see in Packages!
